Agent operations platform for an insurance sales organization — the full agent lifecycle in one system, replacing a brittle Monday.com and n8n workflow stack.
The problem
The agent operation ran on Monday.com boards stitched together with n8n automations. Every new requirement meant another board, another webhook, and another thing that broke quietly. Onboarding status lived in one place, training in another, campaign spend in a third, and nobody could answer a simple question about an agent without opening four tabs.
What we built
One platform that runs the whole agent lifecycle. Agents apply through a self-serve signup that an admin approves, work through video onboarding, and book live training sessions with their manager. Managers connect a Google Calendar so agents can claim open slots — the integration reads free/busy availability and creates the booked event, nothing more. Agents fund ad campaigns through Stripe, and payment provisions and extends the campaign automatically instead of waiting on someone to flip a switch.
Reporting and QA
A weekly performance pipeline compiles production, persistency, and training progress across the team into an email report that a manager previews before it sends — no surprise blasts. Call recordings feed a QA workflow so conversations can be reviewed against the training material agents were actually given.
Access control
Five roles separate what agents, managers, and admins can see and do, and every action writes to an audit trail. In a licensed insurance operation, being able to answer who changed what and when is not a nice-to-have.
How it is built
Next.js on the front end, NestJS and PostgreSQL behind it, BullMQ for the background work that should never run on a request — weekly report generation, campaign provisioning, recording processing. Media and call recordings live in S3, and the whole thing deploys in Docker.
