Weddings Guestbook
An iPad wedding guest book and photo booth in one app — handwritten notes, photo-booth snaps, and voice messages captured with zero venue wifi, then delivered as a designed PDF keepsake.
The problem
A paper guest book gets signed by maybe half the guests, and the couple opens it once. Meanwhile the same couple is quoted hundreds of dollars for a photo booth rental and an audio guest book phone — three separate line items that each capture a fraction of the night. On top of that, wedding venues are famous for dead wifi zones, so anything that depends on a connection is a risk on a day with no second take.
What we built
One iPad on the welcome table replaces all three. Guests tap the book to open it, enter their name, and leave a memory — handwritten with Apple Pencil on a page that grows as they write, typed, or recorded as a voice message. A front-camera photo booth shot pairs with each entry, so photos are never anonymous and signatures are never context-free. A live memory wall lets guests browse the book filling up during the reception.
Offline-first, because venues are
Every photo, note, and voice message writes to the device the moment it is captured. No accounts, no app downloads for guests, no loading spinner between one guest and the next. When a connection appears, entries sync to cloud storage in the background — guests never wait on it, and a dead zone at the venue never costs a memory.
The deliverable
After the wedding, the entries export as a designed PDF guest book with one page per guest, handwriting and photos together, ready to print anywhere. Wedding planners and coordinators get a portal on top of the same system: live galleries, guest analytics, and PDF downloads across every wedding they run.
